Homer Lee Varnell, age 98, a longtime Stephens County resident, passed away at his home, east of Comanche, on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Carol Sue Turner, a longtime resident of this area, peacefully passed away on Saturday evening, April 11, 2026 at Duncan Regional Hospital. She was 81 years old. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 17th at 11:00 a.m. at the Pavilion at Fairlawn Cemetery, with Jeff Rather officiating, under the direction of Comanche Funeral Home.
