Wayne was born October 18, 1943, to Glenn and Ethel Plant Anthony. He passed from this life February 5, 2023 at his home in Waurika.

Wayne started school in Claypool and they moved to town when he was in the third grade. He graduated from Waurika High School in 1961, then attended Bethany Nazarene College for one year before transferring to Southwestern University in Weatherford OK. He obtained his Pharmacy degree after three years. In 2015 he was honored to be grandfathered in for a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

He married the love of his life, Regina Cerney. To this union two children were born, a daughter Jennifer and a son Jeffrey.

His most precious part of life was spending time with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids.

Wayne loved the outdoors. He always said he didn't know why he chose a career in something requiring for him to be indoors all of the time! He loved to mow and putter around with his tractor mowing the garden and the grass in the ditches. He planted a big garden with his Dad for many years and they always has plenty of tomatoes and squash to give away. Sadly Wayne had to give it up in 2017 due to health reasons.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, his sister Doris Pilgreen, his grandparents and several cousins.

He is survived by his wife of the home, a daughter Jennifer Carr and husband Ron of Irving TX, a son Jeffrey Anthony and wife Kapin of Edmond; four granddaughters, Erikah Hancock and husband Dusty of Cushing; KoKo Barber and husband Blake of Arcadia; Candice Fortenberry and husband Blake of Weatherford; and Akira Carr of Irving, TX, and four great-grandchildren, Tate Hancock and Oakley Hancock, of Cushing; and Bronson Barber and Brecken Barber of Arcadia.

Pallbearers will be cousins Mike Beaver, Randy Beaver, Greg Patterson, Chuck Green, Pete Rostant and Lance Hodges Honorary pallbears are Charlie Burnam, Rene Rodriguez, Daniel Rodriguez,, Skyler Rodriguez, Tony King, Ricky Burnam, Jarrett Green

Funeral service for Mr. Anthony will be Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 2:00PM at Faith Fellowship Church in Waurika with Curtis Plant and Bryan Plant officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10-7PM with family receiving visitors from 5-7PM. Interment will be in Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Memorials may be made to Faith Fellowship Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
