Rozena "Jeannie" Jean (Taylor) Roberts

Rozena Jean "Jeannie" (Taylor) Roberts,72, of Waurika, Oklahoma passed from this life October 2, 2025. She was born March 11, 1953, in Waurika, Oklahoma to L.B. and Katie (Huffman) Taylor. Larry and Jeannie Taylor Roberts were married May 29, 1970, in Waurika Oklahoma. She and Larry owned and operated the Eagle's Nest Cafe in Waurika. She worked as a Bank Teller at First Farmers National Bank, from May 16, 1988, to December 29, 2023. She was a member of the Waurika First Baptist Church. She enjoyed being an active member of the church involved with Vacation Bible School, cooking for the Wednesday night kids group, and wherever else she was needed. She also volunteered at the Food Bank. She loved cooking and her specialty was baking, but her real joy and where she could always be found was any activities involving her granddaughters.

Jeannie was proceeded in death by her husband Larry Roberts, Father and Mother in-law Grover and Christine Roberts, parents L.B. and Katie Taylor, and brother in-law Larry Lane. Survivors include her sister Glenda Lane, daughters Shanon and her husband Wes Reed and Marcey Howell and her grandchildren Riley and Rebel Howell and Katelynn and Brooklynn Reed.

Funeral services will be at 11 am at the First Baptist Church in Waurika with Kelly and Eric Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at the Waurika Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kelly, Glenndale, Eric, Leo, and Bryson Roberts. Chris and Carl Estep, Leon Lane, Steven Driggers and Gunner Phillps. Visitation will be Thursday October 9, 2025, from 5 pm to 7pm at Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika.
