Peggy Jo McDaniel

Peggy Jo McDaniel was born October 17, 1936 in Addington, Oklahoma to Willard and Eva (Bacon) Harrison. She passed from this life Friday, June 9, 2023 at the age of 86 in Temple, Oklahoma. She graduated from Addington High School in 1954. She attended Draughon's Business School in Wichita Falls and later attended and graduated from Bethania School of Nursing in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was Director of Nursing at Wood Nursing Home in Waurika, Oklahoma for many years. She worked for 30 years in the nursing field before retiring. She was a member of Rebekah Assembly of Oklahoma and the Addington Baptist Church.

She is survived by two children - Mackie McDaniel and Carol McDaniel, four grandchildren - Sundi Meyer, Jeremy Sloan, Autumn (McDaniel) Elliott and Michael McDaniel, 8 great grandchildren and brother Wayne Harrison of Ryan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter - Robin Cartledge, and brother - Floyd Lee (Sonny) Harrison.

Graveside service for Ms. McDaniel will be Monday, June 12, 2023 at 1:00PM at the Waurika Cemetery with Mike Bates officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 11:30-12:30 at Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika.
