Paul Ray Roden

Paul Ray Roden, a lifelong resident of Comanche, passed away Sunday afternoon, December 15, 2024 at his home, with his family by side. He was 81 years old. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 17th at 2:00 p.m. at the Comanche Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Mike Bates officiating, under the direction of Comanche Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery.

Paul was born July 4, 1943 in Comanche, to Norman and Rosie(Goss) Roden. He was a graduate of Comanche High School. He and Cora Woodrome were united in marriage on November 27, 1964 in Duncan. She preceded him in death in 2023. Paul worked for and retired from The Oklahoma Department of Transportation. Paul loved fishing, playing poker, reading, leatherworking, woodworking, riding horses, roping, and rooster fighting.

Survivors include his two daughters: Brenda Fore, Comanche; and Cheryl Johnson and husband Marvin, Comanche; five grandchildren: Cody McAdoo and wife Ana, Natacha Fields and husband Will, Jason McAdoo, Jeremy McAdoo, and Samantha Bohot; also five great-grandchildren: Bralynn Fields, Cailye Bohot, Breanna Fields, Cash Bohot, and William McAdoo; and other relatives and friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Cora; his parents, Norman and Rosie Roden; one brother, Sherman Roden; and two sisters: Patsy Roberson and Sharon Skaggs.
