Opal Ruth Barnes was born July 9, 1935 in Comanche, Oklahoma to Roy and Ada Selby Riddles. She passed from this life Monday, April 1, 2024 at Meridian Nursing Home at the age of 88. She married Myron Barnes September 26,1959 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He preceded her in death. She was a nurse for many years. She was a member of Hastings Baptist Church. She loved to crocheting, gardening, sewing, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her son -Steve Barnes, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 children Shelby and Sherry, and 5 siblings.

Graveside service will be at Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche, Oklahoma on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 1:00PM with DeRay Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 3-7PM Monday at Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika.
