Moena Emmadelle Cash Gibson was born July 10, 1925 in Terral, Oklahoma to Frank and Letha Estelle (Linton) Cash. She passed from this life Saturday, March 12, 2022 at her home in Ryan at the age of 96. Emmadelle was born in Terral but lived outside of Ryan, she went through the 8th grade at Brown's Chapel and graduated from Ryan High School in 1943. She attended Oklahoma Women's College in Chickasha from 1943-1945. She met F.E. (Hoot) Gibson in High School and he left for service but came in on furlough and they were united in marriage February 9, 1944 in Chickasha, Oklahoma at the Baptist church in Chickasha. He was deployed over seas in May 1944. She taught school at Brown's Chapel and lived with her parents in Ryan while he was deployed during WWII. To this union was born a daughter Juretta on March 13, 1947 and they lived in Ryan until moving to Great Bend, Kansas in 1951. They moved to Edinburg, Texas in 1952 and then on to Edcouch, Texas in 1954. Emmadelle worked as a secretary at Golden Jersey Creamery and secretary at Texas Plastics until they returned to Ryan in 1980. She worked at the Jefferson County Abstract Office until 1981 until she started work at the First State Bank in Ryan where she retired in September 1990. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was very active in her church and community. She devoted her life to Christ and her family. She was a role model and historian to many.She was an inspiration to all that she met.

She is survived by her grandchildren - Regina L'Chelle Lewis Jones and husband Mike and Sean Lewis and his wife Ashley, great grandchildren - Madison Lewis Campbell and husband Dillon, Bryce Lewis, Laken DeBoard, Koble Lewis, and Kovin Lewis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hoot, her daughter Juretta Ladelle Gibson Lewis, brother - L.G. Cash, and great grandchildren - Rori Reimer and Kordell Reimer.

Funeral service will be Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 2:00PM at the First United Methodist Church in Ryan with Rev. Steve Harshaw officiating. Burial will be in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Ryan. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from noon - 7PM with family receiving visitors from 4:30-6:30PM at Dudley Funeral Home in Ryan.. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Ryan.
