Margaret Ann (Dickey) Headrick

Margaret Ann Headrick, a longtime resident of this community, peacefully passed away early Thursday morning, September 19, 2024 in Duncan,. She was 92 years old. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 24th at 10:00 a.m. at the pavilion at Fairlawn Cemetery, under the direction of Comanche Funeral Home. Viewing will be Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Margaret was born February 15, 1932 in Claypool, OK. to Ernest and Naomi (Grace) Dickey. She attended school at Claypool. After high school she attended Central State College in Edmond. On January 20, 1951 she married Ernest Headrick Jr. in Wichita Falls, TX. She loved to sew, and go traveling with Ernest in their RV. She was a member of the OHCE Extension Club. She owned Headrick Insurance Agency in Comanche, from 1982 until her retirement.

Survivors include her sons, Dick Headrick and wife Ann, Duncan, OK; and Tom Headrick, Comanche, OK; six grandchildren: Michael Headrick and wife Candice, Chris Headrick and wife Adrea, Alison Headrick, Myka Harrel, Andi Krueger and husband Chris, and Doni Bertsch. Also, one daughter in law, Nancy Headrick, Haslet, TX; a sister in law, Patty Behrens, Oklahoma City, OK; several great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and other relatives, and many dear friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Headrick, a son, Roger Headrick, a grandchild, Crystal Mendinghall; her parents, Ernest and Naomi Dickey; two brothers, Doyal Dickey and Wayne Dickey; and three sisters, Sevelle Overstreet, Lavelle Duncan, and Chock Stroud.
