Lois Priscilla Thurman was born November 27, 1928 in Waurika, Oklahoma to William and Helen Lucille (Davis) James. She passed from this life Sunday, February 18, 2024 in Wilkins Nursing Center in Duncan at the age of 95. She and Doyle Wayne Thurman were married in Lawton, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in September of 1975. She worked for AT&T as an operator for many years. She was also a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and crafting. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Waurika where she taught Sunday School, Bible School, and volunteered on Mission trips. She is survived by her children - Judy Beavers, Anne Myers and husband Kirk, Terri Brown and husband Chuck, and James Wayne Thurman and wife Suzette, brother - Jack James, nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law -Robert, and 7 siblings. Funeral service for Mrs. Thurman will be Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 2:30PM at First Baptist Church in Waurika with Bryce Bohot officiating. Burial will be in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church - Baptist Children's Home, 12700 East 76th Street Owasso, Oklahoma 74055.
