Lillie Faye (Couch) Burroughs

Lillie Faye Burroughs, age 95, a resident of Duncan, OK, peacefully passed away on Thursday evening, April 21, 2023 in Meridian. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April; 26, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Duncan Cemetery with Pastor Mark Hays officiating, under the direction of Comanche Funeral Home. Viewing will be Tuesday from 9:00-6:00 at the funeral home.

Lillie was born March 26, 1928 in Blevins, Arkansas, to Chester W. and Addie Lillie (Dennington) Couch. She was an avid bowler for many years. Lillie was an outstanding basketball player, and captain of the team. She enjoyed baking, sewing, and crocheting.

She is survived by her children: LaGena Couch, Duncan, OK; Robert White and wife Marti, Moore, OK; and Penney Edgar and husband Bob, Owasso, OK; and Ann McCready, Rogers, AR; her grandchildren: Chris and wife Audra; Chad and wife Jennifer; Robin; Leigh and husband Sean; Nickalas; Shelli and husband Chris; Chantz and wife Alyssa; Amber and husband Jeremiah; Leslie; and Amy and husband Frank; also numerous great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren; and two soon to be born great-great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Lillie was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Addie; her husbands, Bennie White, and Monroe Burroughs; one child, Joe Alex; three brothers, Claudie, Arlie, and Thurston; a sister, Mildred; and her son, Bill Burroughs.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Couch, Chad Couch, Jacob Couch, Chase Couch, Nickalas Sowders, Malak Sowders, Bob Edgar, and Steve Pollock.
