Lawrence "Larry" Wayne Pohlpeter

Lawrence Wayne "Larry" Pohlpeter, age 69, a resident of Terral, OK passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at his home northeast of Terral. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Larry was born May 2, 1956 in Fort Madison, Iowa, to Raymond and Myrtle (Miller) Pohlpeter. Larry graduated from high school in Fort Madison, then attended college at Northeastern Missouri. On August 5, 1985 he and Frances Delaney were united in marriage, in Arkansas, at the Otasco Store He worked as a correction officer in El Reno, OK before retiring and moving to Terral. Larry drove for Red River Transportation for a while before officially retiring again. Larry loved cracking and shelling pecans, collecting cookie cutters, fishing, and golfing.

Survivors include his wife Frances, of the home; a daughter, Tammy Boling, El Reno, OK; a sister, Peggy, Fort Madison, IA; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, six sisters, and one grandchild.
