Katherine Ruth Helloms Thomas

Katherine Ruth Helloms Thomas, 71, of Ryan, Oklahoma passed from this life on April 29, 2022. She was born April 14, 1951 in Ryan, Oklahoma to Jim and Lovina (Tolley) Helloms. She married Weldon Thomas on March 26, 1969 in Montague, Texas. He preceded her in death on February 6, 2017. Ruth was a homemaker and also worked as a nurses aide at the nursing home. She also worked at the day care and at Wal-Mart. She loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son in law Tom Hooper, brothers - W.D. Davis, Pete Helloms, Leroy Helloms, and Clifton Ray Helloms, sisters - Freda Doyal, Elberta (Peachie) Maness, Dora Green, Joanne Johnson and Sally Robbins.

Survivors include daughters- Irene Hooper of Ryan, Oklahoma, Carolyn Vaughn of Lawton, Oklahoma, Leann Thomas of Ryan, Oklahoma, son - Max Thomas of Sugden, Oklahoma, grandchildren - Jimmy Vaughn and wife Hannah, Jessica Leiker and husband Gage, Jaylee Vaughn, Ethan Jackson, Kaylee Willeford, and Lori Alford, great grandchildren - Saige and Damon Leiker, special daughter Shirley Younce and special grandchildren- Crystal, Kelsey, and Kevin Younce, sister Lucille Lawson, and sisters in law - Sarah Helloms and Martha Helloms and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Friday, May 6, 2022 at 3:00PM at First Baptist Church in Ryan with Ricky Phillips officiating. Burial will be in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home. Visitation will be at Dudley Funeral Home in Ryan Thursday from 11AM-7PM with family receiving visitors from 5-7PM and Friday from 10AM-2PM.
