John Fitzgerald Benson, Sr.

John Fitzgerald Benson, Sr. was born December 9, 1963 in Honolulu, Hawaii to William and Mary White Benson. John passed from this life Friday, July 14, 2023 in Wichita Falls, Texas at the age of 59.

John and his family moved to Oklahoma in 1972. He worked for Performance Truck Tire in Wichita Falls, Texas for 30 years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and kitty - Taz.

John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Janet, siblings - Charles Benson, Margaret Scott, and Kathleen Marquis.

John is survived by his children Talisha Johnson of Wichita Falls, Texas, John Benson Jr. and wife Cristie of Waurika, Oklahoma, Kevin Benson and wife Brianna of Wichita Falls, Texas. Grandchildren - Nicolas, Christian-Michelle and Nolan Baugh, Alexis and Zackary Shockley, Zoey and McKenna Benson, and Riley Bishop. Siblings - William Benson and wife Rhonda of Texas, Barbara Perry of Minnesota, Theresa Roberts and husband Dewey of Poolville, Texas, Andrew Benson of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Robert Benson and wife Carla of Springtown, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service for Mr. Benson will be Monday, July 17, 2023 at 2:00PM at Ryan Cemetery with Marty Little officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 10AM-1PM and Monday from 10AM-1PM at Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika.
