Garry Lavirl Lyons

Garry Lavirl Lyons was born January 2, 1936 in Claypool, Oklahoma to William Proctor "Bill" and Ida Virginia (Fowler) Lyons. He passed from this life June 29, 2026. He graduated from Claypool High School. He and Jacqueline Sue Fulton were married January 7, 1956 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He worked for Halliburton and retired after 30 years. He loved to read and watch westerns and loved to garden.

He is survived by 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 3 daughters, Carolyn Sue Lyons Potts, Paula Jeanne Lyons White, and Sherry Lynn Lyons Barnes; and one granddaughter.

Graveside service for Mr. Lyons will be Friday, July 3, 2026 at 10:00AM at Waurika Cemetery with DeRay Smith officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, July 2, 2026 from 1-7 PM at Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika.
