Florence Price Youree

Florence Price Youree was born April 19, 1933 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Lena Marley and John Henry Price. She passed from this life on Friday, January 3, 2025 at her home in Addington at the age of 91. She was a graduate of Addington High School. She and Dale Ray Youree were married February 18, 1950 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He preceded her in death on January 27, 2022. An integral part of the history of the Women's Professional Rodeo Association and the Barrel Futurities of America, she was also honored with inductions into multiple Halls of Fame. She was the hub of her family. Florence was a wonderful Mom and Nan and enjoyed spending time with her loved ones. She was also a member of Providence Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter Renee Youree Ward and husband James, grandchildren - Janae Massey and husband Ty, Cassie Ambrose and husband Austin, and Kylie Weast and husband Jay, great grandchildren - Chazli Massey, Calen Ambrose, Owen Ambrose, Marcus Weast, and Marlie Weast. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and sister Sherry Price Johnson. Funeral service will be Monday, January 6, 2025 at 12:00PM at Providence Baptist Church with Dee Bowen officiating. Interment will be in the Addington Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Memorials may be made to Providence Baptist Church.
