Elva Elizabeth Atwood-Kemp

Elva Elizabeth Atwood-Kemp was born August 30, 1950 in Amarillo, Texas to Roy Jefferson and Verda Lee Privitt Chatman. She passed from this life Thursday, April 25, 2024 at her home in Waurika at the age of 73. She worked in fiberglass Pipe manufacturing for over 30 years. She worked for Ameron and then retired from NOV. She and James Roscoe Atwood were married and he preceded her in death in 2005. She married J.J. Kemp and he preceded her in death in 2000. She found the love of her life Charley Cast and he preceded her in death on January 25, 2024.

She enjoyed dancing, camping, fishing, kayaking, parasailing, ziplining, and traveling of all types. She also enjoyed working in her flower garden and watching her hummingbirds.

She is survived by her children Jamie Atwood and wife Mary, Renee Davis and Buster Wedel, and Amanda Phillips and husband Jason, siblings - Curtis Privitt and wife Twyla, Betty Alexander, Sarah Helloms and honorary sister - LeeAnn Carter, 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, and special mom - Hanie Mary Elizabeth Chatman, her husbands - James, J.J., and Charley and a half brother.

Graveside service for Ms. Atwood-Kemp will be Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 1:00PM at the Waurika Cemetery with Chris Kilpatrick and Don Thomas. Visitation will be Monday, April 29, 2024 from 1-7PM with family receiving visitors from 5-7PM.
