Edward Burton Keith

Edward Burton Keith was born April 24, 1943 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma to William David and Addie Bell (Wellman) Keith. He passed from this life Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at his home in Waurika, Oklahoma. He and Thelma Richards Keith were married March 3, 1978 in Comanche, Oklahoma. Ed grew up in Byers, Texas and moved to Waurika in 1978. He was a Volunteer firefighter. He also served as Chief of the Waurika Volunteer Fire Department and was very involved with the Waurika Rattlesnake Hunt. He was the announcer for many years. He worked as a service technician for Oklahoma Natural Gas. He enjoyed playing golf and guitar and could fix anything.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma, of the home; sons, Charles Keith and wife Betty of Ryan, Oklahoma, Will Keith and wife Rachel of Waurika, Pee-Wee Keith of Canton, Ohio; daughters, Karen Sanford and husband Bruce of Runaway Bay, Texas and Becky Fuller of Waurika, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Roger Keith, daughter, Julie Ann Keith, 5 brothers, and 1 sister.

A celebration of life will be Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at 10:00AM at the First Baptist Church in Waurika with Aaron Little officiating
