Edna Lynette Griffin

Edna Lynette Griffin was born September 19, 1947 in Akron, Ohio to Austin and Martha Gault Ober. She passed from this life Saturday, June 8, 2024 at her home in Hastings, Oklahoma at the age of 76.

She attended school in Dalton, Ohio and SW Assembly of God College in Waxahachie. Lynette and Ray Griffin were married June 22, 1968 in Hastings, Oklahoma. She worked as a clerk for Oklahoma Natural Gas for 34 years. She worked on the Jefferson County Election Board for 10 years. She served her community in many ways including the Chamber of commerce and being Rodeo Secretary for many organizations. She enjoyed singing Christian music and playing the organ and piano at Christian Life Cathedral and Hastings First Baptist Church. She also loved crafting, decorating, floral arranging and doing volunteer work.

She is survived by her husband - Ray of the home in Hastings, son - Wayne Griffin and wife Amy of Hastings, daughter - Ranette Rouillard and husband Kevin of Wichita Falls, Texas, brothers - Gordon Ober and Bruce Ober, sister - LaVonne Bonin, grandchildren - Paisley Griffin, Jansen Rouillard, Sydney Rouillard, Chayton Snider and Gracie Snider.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Tom. Funeral service for Mrs. Griffin will be Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 1:00PM at Providence Baptist Church with Dee Bowen officiating. Interment will be in Hastings Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-7:30PM with family receiving visitors from 6-7:30PM at Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika.
