Edith Juanita Jackson was born January 19, 1921, in Corum, Oklahoma, to Jim and Edna Howard Montgomery. Juanita passed from this life Tuesday, September 3, 2002, in Riverside Community Hospital in Riverside, California. Juanita and Darvin Jackson were married April 14, 1939, in Duncan, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death July 4, 1992. They farmed in Oklahoma until 1962, when they moved to California where they owned and operated Montgomery Mattress Company.
Survivors include: one daughter - Mischa Routon and her husband Ron, of Riverside, CA; one sister - Johnnie Clinger of Comanche, OK; two grandsons - Ryan and Jonathan Routon of Riverside, CA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Juanita is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Darvin, one brother, Everett, one sister, Myrtle Lee Martin; and one grandson, Brandon.
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Jackson at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 7, 2002, in the Ray of Hope Church in Comanche, Oklahoma, with Dow Pannell officiating. Burial was in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche, Oklahoma under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche. Pallbearers were Danny Montgomery, G.C. Roe, Garry Pinnell, Rod Pinnell, Cletys Stiles, and Robert Martin.
