Connie Sue McDonald, age 68, of Duncan, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on July 17, 2023.

Connie was born in Waurika, OK to Bessie Matthews and Grover Cleveland, on October 20, 1954. She graduated from Waurika High School in 1972. In September of 1977 she married the love of her life, David, and they shared 46 beautiful years of marriage and two children together. She had many jobs but found her second family through her coworkers and customers at Eck Drug and Gift, where she worked for 21 years before retiring in August of 2021.

One of her favorite things to do was hit all of the garage sales. She had an eye for treasures and a hidden talent for finding the best bargains. She took a lot of pride in her home, filling it inside and out with stunning décor year round. She really enjoyed staying connected and sharing her life with her friends and family through Facebook. She loved to travel and make new memories, experiencing countless trips across 22 different states. Above all, she found the most joy in spoiling her grandkids.

Connie was a once in a lifetime wife, mother, Nana, sister, and friend. It was a privilege to know her, and an honor to be loved by her. She was selfless and constant, always showing up and never failing the ones she loved.

Connie was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Matthews, and father, Grover Cleveland.

She is survived by her dedicated husband, David McDonald, Duncan, OK; her daughter Jodi and husband Daniel Roberson, Duncan, OK; her son Joey and Haley McDonald, Velma, OK; her grandchildren, Kasee, Kenzie, Kori, Reece, all of Duncan, OK; Olivia and Brookelynn, Velma, OK; her great grandchildren, Denver and Emerson, Duncan, OK; her sisters Mary Vietnhiemer, Fort Worth, TX; Bertha and Clinton Duncan, Terral, OK; Patricia and Roger Fowler, Iowa Park, TX; Carla and Tommy Poage, Duncan, OK; Penny Frey, Duncan, OK; and brother Robert Cleveland, Waurika, OK; as well as her bonus grandchildren, Destiny, Madison, Faith, Lynnleigh, Hayzlee, and Koe.
