Charles William Garrett

Charles William Garrett was born August 5, 1945 in Syottes, New York to Alvin and Betty (Raymer)Garrett. He passed from this life August 31, 2025 at his home in Waurika at the age of 80.

Charles and Joyce Capeheart were married September 26, 1965 in Waurika, Oklahoma. Charles and Joyce owned and operated their own Day Care where Charles was lovingly known as the Candy Man. He and Joyce also owned and operated Garrett's Flower Shop until their retirement. He also retired from the City of Duncan. Charles loved tinkering in the garage, working in his yard, and riding his motorcycle. He liked fishing and loved being out and driving in the snow in the winter.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce, his loving daughter, Louise, his sister, Sharon and her husband Mark, grandchildren, Tommy Shawn England, and Steven and Kristi England, and 6 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Louie, and his daughter, Loretta.

Mr. Garrett's service will be Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 2:00PM at the Ryan Cemetery with Curtis Plant. Services are under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home Waurika.
