Charles Dale Cast, an only child, was born July 23, 1947 in Sulphur, Oklahoma to Charles Melvin and Leona Lorene Bible Cast. He was also lovingly known as Pawpaw Charlie. He passed from this life Thursday, January 25, 2024. He was raised in Sulphur most of his childhood and graduated from Sulphur High School in 1964. He enlisted in the United States Air Force on December 1, 1966 and was honorably discharged on April 24, 1970. He met Linda Kay Casey in October of 1969 and they were married June 25, 1971 at the First Christian Church in Davis, Oklahoma. To this union were born two daughters Stacy Lynn and Amanda Sue. Linda preceded him in death on January 10, 2003. He enjoyed traveling, dancing, fishing, and loved being outdoors enjoying water sports. He retired from Ft. Sill Civil Service after 43 years in May of 2004. In 2013 he began a relationship with Elizabeth Atwood and loved her until his dying breath. She brought into his life an honorary son and daughter in law -Jamie and Mary Atwood along with all of Elizabeth's grandchildren and great grandchildren.. He is survived by his 2 daughters - Stacy Helms and husband Harold and Amanda Phillips and husband Jason, grandchildren - Ashley Erickson and George Caleb, Justice Berryhill and Brent Gandy, Nicolas Helms, Kristan Marie Phillips, Juhriee Berryhill and Skylar Stengal, Samantha Helms and Jose, Gunner Phillips and Grace Kincade, Katherine Helms, and Katelyn Haskins, great grandchildren - Jaylee, Josh, Robin, Jace, Memphis, Parker, Luke, Teddy, and Ellie. He accepted every child that was ever brought into his life. He was a wonderful dad and Pawpaw. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 2:00PM at the First Baptist Church in Duncan Oklahoma with Ricky Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika.
