Carl Wayne Sanford was born July 16, 1952 in Odessa, Texas to Carl and Mamie Lou (Long) Sanford. He passed from this life Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at his home in Ryan at the age of 70.

Carl married Janice Lynn Eichor October 4, 1973 in Lovington, New Mexico.

He worked as a carpenter from 1973-1984. He worked for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation from 1984-2010. He retired after 25 years as a Division Wide Supervisor.

He was a member of Freedom Biker Church in Duncan.

Carl is survived by his children - Chris Sanford of Midland, Texas and Nic Sanford and wife Tanaya of Duncan, Oklahoma, daughter- Kristi Alexander Smith of Plano, Texas, 7 grandchildren - Asia, Savanna, Cade, Cambrey, Katherine, Alex, and Emily.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Janice, and brother Pat.

Memorial service will be Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 2:00PM at the First Baptist Church in Ryan with Ricky Phillips officiating. Services are under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Ryan.
