Betty Joy Hunt

Betty Joy Hunt was born April 28, 1938 in Lubbock, Texas to E.C. (Oak) and Billie Turner Jackson. She passed from this life July 18, 2023 at OU Medical Center.

She and Raymond Leon Hunt were married on November 13, 1969. They were married almost 50 years before he passed away in March of 2019.

She retired from the Jefferson County Hospital in 2003 after 27 years. She was member of the Velma Baptist Church. She loved going to ballgames, especially basketball. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and sisters, watching the sunset, and gazing at the moon.

She is survived by her children – Skeeter Citrowske and wife Tereasa, Stefan Hunt and wife Patti.

She is also survived by her grandchildren Jeffry Citrowske, Kimberley Citrowske, Austin Hunt, Preslee Hunt, Destanie Mata, and Lila Mata, Sisters Deb Dicken and husband Tom, Pam Foreman and husband Jim.

She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond in 2019, her daughter Connie Mata in 2022, and son Jim Citrowske in 1985, grandson Santana in 2019, parents Oak and Billie and sister Pat Jackson.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 23, 2023 from 5-7PM at Dudley Funeral Home in Ryan with a graveside service at 7:30PM at Ryan Cemetery.
