Sandra "sue" (Maness) Christman

Sandra sue Christman passed away Sunday, May 31, 2026 in Oklahoma City at the age of 82. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at the First Baptist Church in Comanche, officiated by Dr. Mark Hall. Burial will follow in the Fairlawn cemetery in Comanche.

Sue was born on June 10, 1943 in the Corum Community in Cotton County to Jessie and Johnnie (Thompson) Maness. She graduated from Brawley High School, in California. On September 9, 1961 she and Lee Christman were united in marriage in Maysville, OK. Lee preceded her in death on Nov. 22, 2012. She worked as a nurse for many years, and also as a phlebotomist. Sue loved to mow her own lawn, a job many people hate, but not Sue. The greatest pleasure in her life was her grandchildren; her door was never locked, and they always were welcome at her house. She always had a houseful of kids around, and that brought her much pleasure.

Sue is survived by two daughters--Kati Boughton and husband Randal of Fernandina Beach, Florida and Kim Christman of Comanche and one son, Danny Christman, Charlotte, Tennessee; a sister, Lynda Henderson, and a sister in law, LaDonna Maness; eight grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren, including a soon to be born grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lee, her parents, Jessie and Johnnie Maness, and a brother, John Maness.

Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Allison, Trey McGowan, Dalton Ausmus, Ryan Barrington, Avery Davis, and Ernie Kelley. Honorary bearers will be Jordan Davis, Kaleb Davis, Devon Arko, and Bo Brown.
