David Lynn Allen, of Marlow, peacefully passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026 at the age of 83. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 20th at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Ron Meador officiating, under the direction of Comanche Funeral Home. Viewing will be Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

David was born May 10, 1943 in Ryan, OK to Charles L. and Letha (Hunter) Allen. He was a 1961 graduate of Duncan High School. He then attended Central State where he obtained an Associates Degree, and then he graduated from Cameron with his Bachelors Degree. He and Glenda Bishop were united in marriage on November 21, 1964 at the Assembly of God Church in Comanche. David loved going on vacations, traveling, rebuilding old cars, and playing the trumpet. More than anything else, he loved his grandchildren, and spending time with them.

He is survived by his loving wife Glenda, of the home; two children: Nick Allen and wife Tracy, Amber, OK, and Dana Davis and husband Jeff, Comanche; four grandchildren: Megan Friesen and husband Zach, Breanna Addington and husband Caedin, Jacob Davis and wife Kenlee, and Ryan Davis; two great-grandchildren: Zara and McKenna Friesen; also siblings Fern Allen Bowling Green, Stillwater, OK, and Charles and Jenann Allen, Gainesville, TX; a brother in law, Gary Bishop and wife Gerri, Chickasha, OK; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Letha Allen.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jacob Davis, Ryan Davis, Zach Friesen, Caedin Addington, Charlus Bishop, and Grady Bishop.

The family would like to say a very big thank you to Gregston's Nursing Home and Refuge Hospice for the love and exceptional care shown to David and his family.
