Carol Sue Turner

Carol Sue Turner, a longtime resident of this area, peacefully passed away on Saturday evening, April 11, 2026 at Duncan Regional Hospital. She was 81 years old. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 17th at 11:00 a.m. at the Pavilion at Fairlawn Cemetery, with Jeff Rather officiating, under the direction of Comanche Funeral Home. Viewing will be Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Carol was born October 13, 1944 in Lawton, OK to Jessie B. Adams and Willie Mae (Hornbeck) Adams. She and Juan Turner were united in marriage on January 31, 1977 in Lawton. She and Juan were members of The Old Country Church. She was known as an excellent cook. She also loved bluegrass music. More than anything else, Carol dearly loved her family. She was very family oriented.

Survivors include her husband Juan, of the home; her children: Johnny Williams and wife Erna; Mark Williams and wife Kirstin; Gary Williams and wife Cindy; Juan Turner, Shane Turner, and Tracy Turner; one aunt, Sandra Hornbeck; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents , and one brother, Jimmy Adams.

Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny Williams, Gary Williams, Ross Hornbeck, Mark Williams, David Hornbeck, and Tommy Shields.
