Holly Christine (Absher) Smith

Holly Christine Smith, a resident of Duncan, peacefully passed away on Saturday evening, April 20, 2024 in the Duncan Regional Hospital, at the age of 72. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 22nd at 1:00 p.m. at Heritage Oaks Nazarene Church, with burial at Fairlawn Cemetery, under the direction of Comanche Funeral Home.

Holly was born December 25, 1951 in Roosevelt, OK, to Marcus and Lois (Sears) Absher. She graduated from Roosevelt High School, and then attended and graduated from California College of Heath Sciences. She worked as a respiratory therapist at Duncan Regional Hospital until her retirement. She and Patrick George Smith were united in marriage on July 3, 1970. Holly was an excellent cook, and she loved sewing. Her dog, Mia, was her constant companion.

Survivors include her son Marcus Smith and wife Delayna; a daughter , Mona Walden and husband Lance; five grandchildren: Patrick Berry and wife Hailey, Kristin Smith and Matthew Grover, Blake Heim; Anna Smith, and Merrick Walden; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Holly was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick George Smith; her parents, Marcus and Lois Absher; a brother,and his wife Thurman and Lorna Absher; and a sister, and her husband, Evelyn Ruth and her husband Raymond Nelson Smith; and a nephew, Patrick Nelson Smith.
