Jerry Glenn Wallace passed away on January 23, 2026. Born near Orr, Oklahoma on January 21, 1937, to Daily Frank and Beaulah (Black) Wallace, Jerry was the seventh of eleven children. His mother and the seven youngest children relocated to Addington in 1950, from which Jerry graduated High School in 1956. In September 1956, Jerry enlisted in the U.S. Army and spent much of his enlistment in South Korea until being discharged into the Reserves in June 1958. He attended college and worked locally until January 1961 when he was recalled to active duty and was assigned in France until a second discharge (Sergeant - E5) in January 1964. Jerry continued to further his education while also working as a local Law Enforcement Officer. He earned a Bachelor's Degree from Central Oklahoma and would later earn a Master's Degree from Sam Houston State. He then worked for the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (later DEA), assigned in Texas and worked closely with state and local law enforcement. He took pride in being made an "Honorary Texas Ranger". His Bureau of Narcotics experience led to a three year assignment in Beirut, Lebanon, working on international drug relations. Returning to the States, he had a career change working for Southwestern Bell Security in San Antonio. This position led to an AT&T job in Logistics and Security in Tehran, Iran. Present during the Revolution of 1979, he was waiting for air evacuation when it was realized several of his fellow employees were not at the airport. Risking his own safety, he drove through the riots to the residence and escorted them to the airport for one of the last evacuation flights. After returning to the States, Jerry ultimately relocated back to Oklahoma, residing in Waurika. He pursued several vocations; auto salvage yard, the Truck Stop, raising paint horses and mules (Jerry's Jackasses) heavy equipment dirt work, and rental properties.

Some of his most treasured memories are his years of service as a member of the Oklahoma Disaster Relief Team, which he was honored for his 25 years of Service in November 2025.

In 1981 he married Virginia Pollan and with her he gained to young girls that needed a Dad and from the first day he came walking into the front door with a little black dog on his shoulder, the word "step" did not exist.
