Lonna Jeanne (Knowles) Smith

Lonna Jeanne (Knowles) Smith was born September 28, 1953 in Ringling, Oklahoma to Arthur J and Gladys (Hager) Knowles. She passed from this life November 18, 2025 at her home in Duncan at the age of 72. Lonna worked at the Dairy Lane in Ryan for many years and later in life worked as a pharmacy clerk in Duncan, Oklahoma. She also worked as a caretaker for children and anyone in need. She and Mike Smith were married January 16, 1993 in Ryan, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in September of 2014. She attended and served in various churches throughout her life including the Ryan church of Christ, Iowa Park church of Christ, and Chishom Trail church of Christ, but always called Ryan her home. She had a beautiful singing voice that was appreciated everywhere she attended. She was very active in prayer circles and volunteered for the Compassion Center in Duncan. She was an avid sports fan and a member of the very prestigious Ryan Birthday Club.

Lonna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mike; sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Danny Long.
She is survived by children, Mark Smith and wife Lacey, Tammy O'Dell and husband Randy, Michael Smith and wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Matthew, Morgan, Garrett, Raylee, Ashley, Braeden, Jacob, Marcus, and Lucas; great-grandchildren, Bo, Ace, Madison and Natalie; sister, Cindy Suitt; nieces and nephew, Stacie Wright and husband Terry, Daniel Long and wife Sarah, Carissa Partridge and husband Curt, great-nieces and -nephews, Magen, Hunter, Macie, Chloe, Carter, Jack, and Jentry; and great-grand nieces and -nephews, Bradlei, Brantlei, Ronix, Chase, Ledger, Wrenley, and Deacon.

The funeral service will be Monday, November 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ryan church of Christ. Interment will be in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Ryan. Visitation will be Sunday, November 23, 2025 from 2-4PM at Dudley Funeral Home in Ryan. Memorials may be made to the Ryan church of Christ or the Ryan School Alumni Scholarship Fund.
