Katie Lee Taylor

Katie Lee Taylor went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 17, 2025. She was 95 years young.

Katie Lee (Huffman) Taylor was born on April 27, 1929, to Charlie and Lissie Huffman. She had three brothers and seven sisters. She married L. B. Taylor on October 9, 1929. They had two daughters Glenda (Taylor) Lane and Jeannie (Taylor) Roberts.

Katie worked for many years at Hagger Slacks in Temple. She was a member of the Irving Baptist Church where she was active in many areas including teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Falls Creek and wherever she was needed. She was also in the quilting club where they made many beautiful quilts. Her family and grandkids were the love of her life. She loved spending time with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband L. B. Taylor, nine siblings and two son in-laws Larry Lane and Larry Roberts. She is survived by her two daughters Glenda Lane and Jeannie Roberts, three granddaughters, Shanon (Roberts) Reed and her husband Wes Reed, Laira (Lane) Richardson, Marcey (Roberts) Howell and one grandson Leon Lane, six great grandchildren Kristen Phillips, Gunner Phillips, Riley Howell, Katelynn Reed, Brooklynn Reed and Rebel Howell, one sister Bonnie Skelton and one brother in-law David Noakes and many nieces and nephews.
