Michael Floyd Scott

Michael Floyd Scott, 78, passed away on Sunday, January 5th, 2025, at Meridian Nursing Home in Meridian, Oklahoma. He was born in Duncan, Oklahoma on January 8, 1946. Mike was the third child, of 6, to his parents Ernest Monroe Scott and Iwilda Wynell (McDonald) Scott, both now deceased. Mike was educated in the Duncan Public Schools.

During his life he worked many different jobs including oil field equipment repair, his own business selling customer order computer systems, raising and selling wild birds such as quail and later in life managing a cattle ranch. Throughout his career he maintained the love of owning and repairing classic cars.

Mike was preceded in death by his older sister Teresa Kaye Davidson, and leaves behind his siblings Adrian Scott (Kathy) of Garland, TX, Mark Scott (Lois) of Colorado Springs, CO, Kent Scott of Garland, TX and Sister Janice Franklin (Lane) of Moore, OK. Also left are numerous nephews and nieces in Oklahoma, Texas and Colorado.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors that provided care and medication to Mike while he was at Westbrook Nursing Home in Waurika, OK, and Meridian Nursing Home in Meridian, OK. Mike had made many friendships with the employees. A special thank you to Mike's hospice nurse, Brittany McBride of Complete Hospice who kept the family updated and to Pastor Mike Bates for his kind words at the gravesite.

Funeral arrangement is under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika, OK. A graveside service will be held at the Duncan Cemetery on January 13, 2025 at 1:00 PM.
