Fred "Stan" Stanley Richardson

Fred Stanley "Stan" Richardson was born December 21, 1949 in Waurika, Oklahoma to Fred and Betty Stanley Richardson. He passed from this life Tuesday, October 8, 2024 in Waurika, Oklahoma at the age of 74. Stan graduated from Waurika High School in 1968. He then attended the University of Oklahoma for two years and then transferred to Southwestern State University where he earned a degree in Business and Finance. Stan and Sharon Kay Logan were married on January 19, 1973 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He took great care of Sharon throughout her bout with multiple sclerosis until her death August 28, 2010.

Stan was preceded in death by his wife Sharon, his parents, and his in laws.

Stan is survived by his son - Derek Richardson, sisters - Becky Gerken and her husband Gary, Ann Hodges and her husband Everett, and Sandra Watkins and her husband Donnie all of Waurika, Oklahoma, sister in law Sheila Gutierrez and husband Pete of Okay, Oklahoma, and numerous nieces and nephews. He went out of his way to always help others. He enjoyed being a friend to many and in the last few months helping his good friend Nell Largent. He took great pride in taking care of people and his dogs. He always went out of his way to visit his nieces and nephews when they were in town. He loved his family, his friends and neighbors, and his class of 1968. Stan was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Waurika.

Funeral Service will be Monday, October 14, 2024 at 1:00PM at the First United Methodist Church in Waurika with Rev. Karen Slater officiating. Signing of the book will be Sunday from 2-5PM. Interment will be in the Waurika Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Church Methodist Church in Waurika or the Multiple Sclerosis Association.
